So after a hard week behind trying everything i could and searching for an answer. I finally decided to post it online. My problem is, At boot there are short 3 beeps, Meaning it would be a memory fault.
However, It can start up and be at idle for about an hour. Sometimes longer up to 6 hours. All fans spin, and no overheating happens. Modules are inserted properly! And I even bought new ram modules because it was widely suggested.
But still same system beeps. Here are my Specs: Windows 10 Mobo: MSI P6NGM GPU: N750Ti TF 2GD5/OC CPU: Intel core 2 Quad 2 Q6600 2.4GHz DRAM: 2x/ Kingston Dram 1.8V 800MHz 2gb PSU MAX: 400w HDD: Seagate 500gb Things Noticed. In the BIOS, The DRAM is set to 333Mhz. Should this not be at 400? In device manager there is a device called Coproccesor.
Witch has a error mark. Yes, I have noticed the pc is old.
It worked fine half a year ago. Not used in between. Things I already did! I have Updated to latest BIOS, Latest available is Win7/2010 I have Updated to the latest shipset, Latest available is Win7/2010 New ram has been bought, Same result.
Cleaned the Heat sinks, As the Processor was getting between 80-95 degrees. Now just below 73 degrees(While gaming ofc). I have stripped the mobo to just one Dram in left side, No gpu, No HDD, still same system beep. Your Q6600 CPU runs at 1066MHz FSB (266MHz frequency). Although you have DDR2-800 (400MHz frequency) installed, it should be set to run at the same frequency as the CPU.
However, it would be better to speed up the CPU frequency to match the RAM rather than lower the RAM frequency to meet the CPU. I could recommend the BIOS settings to accomplish the above but would need to know the motherboard model number. The model you provided seems to be lacking some characters - P6NGM -L, P6NGM -FD, P6NGM -FIH. Also, the CPU temp is way too high so you will have to address that issue 1st. I'm guessing the thermal paste was applied incorrectly.
The Core 2 Quad uses the horizontal line method; not the surface spread & definitely not the vertical line. Here's why: Here's how it should look before installing the heatsink: message edited by riider. OtheHill I tried looking it up but all I could find was:.American mega trends BIOS V3.7 042910.A7366NMS V3.7 042910 riiderb It's the P6NGM-L. Sorry, It was not mentioned on the Mobo. I did however put the paste like that. It is indeed a bit cooler. Around 63 Max.
Still crashed after 10m. DAVEINCAPS After the beeps the PC just start like normal. Nothing special. Tried with only mouse and does the same. And all usb devices are new btw.
Works on other pc's. If I don't put anything in it does not beep! What I did found however, The front usb has a pin bent to another one, so it should have shorted the Mobo somehow. Plugged it out of the mobo and it no longer beeped three times. With mouse and keyboard connected on the back it beeps twice now. Starts up as usual of course.
I also checked the power settings and turned everything of as some have had the same problem and this solved it. I Could install a program now which I could not before. But that might just be a coincidence. Still crashes after 10 min hard work.

Either set it manually to the specs listed on the RAM label including voltage or if available use the XMP settings for your memory which will preset it all for you. If this solves your crashing (and I believe it will) and your temps are under control then let Riider recommend improved CPU settings that will improve things without pushing your temps over the top. You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
